The role:
Project Controller is responsible for continuous measurement, analysis, forecasting and reporting of project cost, cash and revenues, for monitoring and recording changes as well as for implementation of aligned project specific strategies. The Project Controller is responsible for all the financial aspects of a project.

What we’re looking for:
Extensive experience in Project Controlling, especially estimating, project accounting and reporting, and change control
Experience in budget allocation and establishing Cost Baselines
Engineering, procurement, and construction management with focus on lumpsum price contract models
Familiar with the accounting environment
Field and construction work
Risk management
Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):
Identifying and applying Project Controlling best practices
Developing detailed Projects Cost Structures and coding under the Standard Work Breakdown Structures for various project types
Working closely with Project Management and other project stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, Quality, HSE, etc)
Apply cost allocation and project accounting principles to ensure accurate cost reporting
Compiling, monitoring, reporting, and presenting project performance i.e. project cost, P&L, revenue, cash, change orders, and claims
Identifying trends and quantifying cost variances, collecting and recording trends and reflecting the approved trend impacts in the project forecast
Maintaining a change register and incorporate approved changes in the project budget and forecast and communicate approved and ongoing changes to the Project Management team
Performing variance analysis and developing effective strategies and recovery plans to bring cost in line with budget or to improve financial position
Computing and informing the Country Controller of accruals to be booked based on physical progress achieved
Leading the preparation of the cost to complete estimate
Participate in and contribute to risk and opportunities assessments
Supporting tendering teams in all commercial aspects
Implement and reconcile Project budget and forecast in the ERP.
Preparation of customer invoices and follow up cash collection
Liaising with the client, representing Linxon at a high standard
Supporting contract management and Project manager on claims and change orders and other contractual obligations, and work with corporate treasury group to meet all bonding requirements.
Ensuring internal controls are in place and effective
Supporting resource load planning
Performing and coordinating ad-hoc analysis and support
Provide the necessary support to the Country controller for the preparation of position papers
Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
Assisting project management to develop and enforce lessons learned within the company
Contributing to Linxon worldwide development, assisting other regions to build a strong knowledge networking
Competencies/ Skills Required:
Ability to gather and analyze large database, draw conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations
Quality-focused with strong attention to detail
Ability to deliver under minimal direct supervision
Excellent communication skills, ability to summarize complex issues for the management
Strong MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting
Familiar with industry practices
Develop good working practices and continually strive for improvements in cooperation with other project offices
Accounting knowledge required
Knowledge of Oracle preferred
Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization
Education:
Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant qualification, and relevant job experience of minimum 5 years.
