Job Description:

An exciting new opportunity for a Health Information Management professional to step into a Director’s role is now available with a short term, acute-care hospital in West Virginia. 

The Director Health Information Management will be employed by a national healthcare system, working at a state-of-the-art 300+ bed acute care hospital in West Virginia. This highly accredited, for-profit hospital is known for their Surgical Services department, Women and Children Services, Trauma Center, and fast pace Emergency Department that sees over 50,000 annual patients. For over 100 years, this acute care hospital has provided high quality patient care to individuals throughout southern West Virginia and North Eastern parts of Virginia. 

The Director of HIM will be responsible for directing and coordinating the daily administrative activities of the Medical Records Department. The Director Health Information Management will also be responsible for directing the personnel of the Medical Records Staff and supervising the HIM staff. The successful HIM Director will have had hands-on experience working within an acute care hospital setting. The hospital is seeking professionals with an RHIA, RHIA, or CSS Certification and a solid management background.

Working in a small town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of southern West Virginia, the Director Health Information Management will be surrounded by rich nature with gorgeous 360 degree views of the mountains and phenomenal scenic overlooks.
