Location: Twin Falls

Pay Range: $20.19 per hour or higher depending on experience


FTE: 1.0


Full/Part Time: Full Time


Position Summary:


Coordinate the 4-H Program in the county; be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer leaders and 4-H members; work as a member of a team to develop 4-H programming that meets the youth development needs of Twin Falls County youth and families; serve as liaison for the 4-H program between the District Director, Extension Specialists, and Extension Educators.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree; four additional years of experience as a program coordinator/assistant, (total of five years), may replace the Bachelor’s Degree.

  • One year of experience as a program coordinator/assistant.
  • Experience working with and motivating people in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Skills: problem-solving; teamwork; decision-making.
  • Experience working with and adapting research materials for effective verbal or written educational use.
  • Experience utilizing computers and current standard computer software.




Preferred Qualifications:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concise reports, and effectively speak to audiences of youth and adults.
  • Experience with 4-H Youth Development Program, personal or professional.
  • Experience working with children and/or adult volunteers.
  • Experience with program marketing and promotion.
  • Experience in fundraising.
  • Ability to work with bilingual audiences.
  • Advanced computer skills such as web design and maintenance and spreadsheet management.



Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:


  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and, infrequently, up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical activity during the county fair includes standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing stairs, etc.






Required Licensures, Certifications or other


  • Conduct and attend evening and weekend activities and meetings.
  • Travel to other work sites (must have access to reliable transportation for travel). Mileage will be reimbursed when personal vehicle is used.
