Job Description:

The College of Public Health and Health Professions is establishing a three-tier reconciliation policy in accordance with University directives for fiscal responsibility.

PHHP is comprised of 8 departments plus the Dean's Office. This position will reside in the Dean's Office and will interact with various fiscal administrators throughout all of the departments in his/her role as the Tier 1 reconciler for the College. As such, the incumbent in this position needs to possess a strong working knowledge of UF fiscal policies and procedures. The ability to communicate effectively and professionally is essential.

Reconciliation Review

Serve as the Tier 1 reconciler across all appropriated and cash funds for the College. This will include but not be limited to monthly transaction verification ensuring allowability and accuracy, support documentation verification, compiling missing documentation if needed, and purchase approval verification. Ensure all documentation is saved in a central repository, utilizing the college-approved naming convention.
Serve as an expert in fund allowability and Chartfield configuration.
Generate reports, primarily in Enterprise Analytics, as needed and requested.

Journal Entry

Responsible for identifying transactions that may need to be moved to a more accurate fund code, account code, or program code based on compliance review. Work with the Department Administrators and fiscal staff to obtain the correct Chartfield information and process the appropriate journal entry in a timely manner.


Assist the College Dean's Office fiscal staff with procurement needs across all funds. This requires the individual to be familiar and comfortable with UF's procurement systems including MyUF Marketplace, travel, pcard and general journal functions in order to create purchase orders, submit contracts, pay invoices and reconcile pcard charges.

Cash Handling

Responsible for processing all Auxiliary and Cash Expense Refund deposits for the College.

Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$23.95 - $26.34 per hour, commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and five years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft system as it pertains to Procurement and fund allowability.
  • Knowledge of University of Florida fiscal policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to analyze fiscal data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
