Job Description:
This full-time position is located in the Department of Physical Therapy, in the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the UF Myology Institute. The work location for this position is in the Clinical Translational Research Building, located on the University of Florida campus. The incumbent will assist Principal Investigator (PI) and Faculty with the implementation of research activities for both industry and NIH sponsored clinical studies. The ImagingDMD UF network seeks a diligent, detail-oriented individual to assist with monitoring multiple industry sponsored clinical trials from study start to closeout as well as federal grant funded research activities. The incumbent will work as a member of the ImagingDMD Network with study key personnel to ensure compliance with protocol requirements and regulatory standards. Primary responsibilities involve maintaining and filing research records as per FDA guidelines, maintaining databases, and organization of documents. This position requires excellent communication, outstanding organizational skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and an ability to multi-task. The ImagingDMD UF research team brings researchers from throughout UF campus, industry, and other institutions together in a collaborative effort to further the understanding and treatment of neuromuscular diseases, including Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This research team facilitates clinical studies and trials focused on neuromuscular diseases and is engaged in national and international collaborative research efforts. Responsible for maintaining research documents for MR sites for multiple (inter)national clinical trials or research studies. This includes the following components:

  • Organize, maintain, and file training documentation of MR site personnel
  • Assist with all aspects of data collection and compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Review internal documents and documents provided by MR sites for compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Organize, maintain and file internal documents and documents provided by MR sites
  • Maintain and update various trackers
  • Monitor study specific email accounts
  • Monitor queries and complete resolutions
  • Contribute to seamless communication between clinical research coordination and the data management group

Responsible for maintaining research documents for NIH sponsored research studies. This includes the following components:
  • Prepare, organize and maintain research study documents
  • Assist with coordination of subject visits by communication with MRI facility staff, nurses, physical therapists and other key personnel
Assistance for the Data Management Unit:
  • Assist with data management, processing and analysis of magnetic resonance images
  • Typical activities include outlining muscle boundaries on MRI images and the associated documentation process
Assistance for the Quality Management Unit:
  • Assist Quality Management with updating relevant study MOPs, Forms and internal SOPs as necessary
  • Other tasks as needed

Expected Salary:

$17.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and 1-year of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training with 3-years relevant experience may substitute for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with Clinical Trials
  • Experience working with children
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to manage day to day activities while juggling other responsibilities
