Production Manager - Coordinating activity of production and production workers in providing linen to customers of Hospital Laundry Services. To work with the maintenance person for scheduling of preventative maintenance and repairs so that all equipment is at the best possible condition for production purposes. Will help General Manager supervises delivery personal in the clean linen rooms in the hospitals.


This position will:


• Develop a weekly/daily production plan
• Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results
• Supervise and motivate a team of workers ensuring that production is cost effective
• Communicate human and material resources needs to upper management
• Set and adhere to quality standards implementing training and quality control programs
• Directs operations according to established safety protocols or best practices
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures
• Participate in the selection and maintenance of equipment
• Provide information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests from the upper management.
• Track hours worked among various workers' compensation categories such as overtime in order to manage and control labor costs.
• Alert the General Manager of any unsafe conditions found on laundry premises.
• Investigate any production employee grievances and bring to the attention of the General Manager as soon as possible.
• Notify the General Manager with complaints from staff
• Cleanliness of production areas of laundry facility.
• Work with the General Manager in coordinating linen needs with customers.
• New linen injected into system as needed.
• Maintain and display professionalism
• Provide leadership and employee direction for plant continuous improvement.
• Other duties as, required.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:


Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to read and write and do addition and subtraction.
• Able to follow and give written and oral instructions
• Have completed computer classes on excel, word and power point
• Work in all areas of the current linen management system.
• 2 to 3 years' experience in a production environment
• Self-motivated individual that is able to motivate, mentor and train others
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and follow through skills that achieve results by working with others
• High proficiency in all Microsoft Office software and general working knowledge of computers
• Strong decision-making skills
• Ability to multitask and set parameters with employees

Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
TB test and Hep B series shots required
