Product Management Advisor at Cigna in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Description:

This Product Management Advisor role within the Evernorth Care Solutions team exists to support an industry-leading clinical product, Health Connect 360, which offers clinical management capabilities, financial spend management strategies and guaranteed outcomes. This role will facilitate the expansion of new clinical capabilities within the existing model and continue innovating the product to serve existing clients and sell to potential clients. The Product Management Advisor uses extensive knowledge to lead and collaborate with essential, cross-functional partnerships like Marketing, Finance, Knowledge Solutions, Clinical, Operations, Legal, and Sales and Account Management teams.

Product owner core competencies include, but are not limited to:

Deep product knowledge

  • Product owner must be a subject matter expert on the product, its components, enrollment information, reporting, modeling, marketing, etc.

Product hygiene

  • Product owner must keep up-to-date materials available on Field Solution Portal, including FAQ, sample reports, RFP language, sales collateral, etc.

  • Product owner must be able to produce old sales materials, as well, for audit purposes; all outdated materials should be archived (not deleted).

  • Product owner must be responsive to inquiries submitted via CPIR.


Financial health + monitoring + corrective action plan

  • Product owner must complete a monthly or quarterly financial reconciliation to ensure proper pricing and billing, and work with Finance + Acct teams on any corrections.

  • Product owner must perform a monthly budget review to ensure revenue is on track according to the budget. If variance from budget, product owner must establish a plan of action with Sales Enablement for correction of revenue goals through identification of viable sales opportunities and/or an evaluation of existing pricing.


Product KPIs + monitoring + corrective action plan

  • Product owner must track client saturation, including total life count, total carrier count, information by line of business or other impactful key performance metrics associated with the product, such as net promoter score. This information should include current information as well as year-over-year information.

  • Product owner must track BOB Outcomes and client-specific outcomes, especially those with a PG. If variance from anticipated or guaranteed goals, product owner must formulate a corrective action plan to ensure product delivers outcomes.


Market comparison

  • Product owners must understand competitors in the marketplace, and articulate how the product competes with a differentiated or superior value story.

  • If the product is governed by regulatory requirements, product owners must understand existing legislation, regulatory and sub-regulatory guidance impacting their product as well as the market influences that may alter the course of their product.


Vendor management

  • Product owner must be able to effectively communicate with vendor, when applicable, to produce expected results, negotiate terms, conditions and fees of the contract, establish and deliver any product needs.

  • If applicable, product owners must identify and enforce SLAs to ensure the vendor meets or exceeds expected capabilities.


Future state/roadmap
  • Product owner must create and maintain a 3-year product roadmap based not only on client needs, but also market research and, if applicable, existing and anticipated regulatory requirements. Roadmap should be inclusive of recommendations of product enhancements, total evolution, expansion, or possibly retirement of the product. Product roadmap should include ideas or recommendations along with financial impacts (potential cost + potential revenue).

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience with increasing responsibilities

  • 8-12 years of relevant work experience or Master's degree with 5-10 years of experience

  • Client-facing experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills as described above

  • Advanced problem solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and generate results among potentially conflicting constituencies;

  • Data analysis and reporting skills;

  • Basic financial analysis skills;

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage work load and meet project deadlines imperative;

  • Ability to work towards specific deliverables within a environments of tight deadlines and significant pressure;

  • Ability to handle complex analysis from issue identification to proposal of potential solutions;

  • Knowledge of PBM or Healthcare industry highly preferred;

  • Excellent customer service skills required

  • The Care Solutions department at Evernorth is responsible for developing and managing programs and services that allow our members to make better drug, pharmacy and health choices. As a member of the Care Solutions team based in the St. Louis innovation Lab, you'll have frontline insight into how healthcare products are built, released to market, and managed in order to improve the care of millions of patients.
