The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Product Steward, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Completing material and product compliance reviews

  • Determining what global regulations apply to products

  • Supporting New Product Introductions and Change Management Processes


  • Responding to customer inquiries

  • Monitoring relevant emerging regulatory requirements and trends.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in in chemistry, biology, environmental or technical science disciplines (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Three (3) years of experience in a regulatory /product stewardship related role in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • (Master's) degree in chemistry, biology, environmental or technical science, or other relevant disciplines
  • Five (5) years of experience in a regulatory /product stewardship related role in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Knowledge of regulations e.g. REACH, TSCA, RoHS, etc.

  • Demonstrated communication skills, must be able to summarize and articulate technical/regulatory information to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail

  • Ability to work with different cultures and cross functional teams

  • Problem solving skills with the ability to bring projects to a conclusion

  • Enjoys working with multiple IT systems

  • Experience supporting process and system improvement activities

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
