High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience or related planning/project management experience

We have an immediate opening for a Front-End Planner position to work directly with our Forging Department and assist with the planning and scheduling of Conventional Forge and ISO Forge production.

JOB SUMMARY:
Plans and schedules various work centers for production that will require a single piece demand flow as well as batch processing of parts with long process times; actively partners with various departments within Operations to meet schedule adherence requirements. This position will report directly to the Forgings Operations Manager. The position will also support metric reporting including conference calls and presentations, etc. In addition, this position will require daily interface and communication with shop floor production planning and personnel.

Responsible for scheduling the production of Conventional Forge, Isothermal Forge, and Heat Treat departments.
Maintain production records
Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing sales, production, or engineering
Communicates with plant personnel and vendors to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays
Reviews and reports out daily Production metrics and realigns complex work cells to meet or exceed production goals to including streamlining any processes
Understands the impact that planned maintenance and break downs have on production and includes the information when managing schedules
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities with individual departments
Adheres to and promote all company safety rules and requirements
Actively seeks ways to improve the processes and encourage peers to do the same
Performs all other duties as assigned
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety, and procedures
