Skills Consultant

About The Role:  

We are looking for a driven, inquisitive, and experienced learning professional to support the design and execution of the firm’s career strategy. The Skills Consultant will facilitate the skills identification effort across the firm to support and drive internal career mobility. The skills identification process involves consulting, influencing, and negotiating with business stakeholders to identify skills that align with and foster strategy, and curating learning and development resources for targeted skill growth. The role will analyze data, looking for trends in skill rating changes to measure the impact and value of learning.

The Skills Consultant will use adult learning theory to foster a continuous learning culture to support and promote associate development and retention.

Role Summary

Identifies, coordinates, develops, and deploys moderately complex Learning and Development programs that support employee development and engagement and align with business needs. Consults with associates, front-line leaders, or learning partners to identify learning needs. Applies adult learning theory when making recommendations, and provides opportunities for knowledge sharing and skill development. Reviews department processes, policies, and procedures and provides insight into the efficiency and effectiveness of delivered solutions, ensuring maximized return on investment. Researches areas for improved internal program consistency and process improvements.

Responsibilities:


  • Proactively involves managers to understand the learning needs and objectives of the client. Provides recommendations on best solutions for audience.


  • Leveraging subject matter expertise and sound knowledge of content areas, participates in the design, deployment, or facilitation of more complex Learning and Development programs to support client needs. Supports translation of Learning and Development solutions into action plans and deliverables. Communicates programs to their audiences.


  • Analyzes data and trends to determine the effectiveness of program leveraging a variety of data. Participates in gap analysis against established objectives. Provides input on metrics to assess program effectiveness considering department standards and program goals. Ensures feedback is incorporated into the design, development, or facilitation of future programs.


  • Provides input and program support for developing the requirements for vendors or third-party partners. Participates in developing data requirements or program administration for special projects, and, if necessary, identifies external vendors best suited to meet needs.


Typical Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND


  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience

Work Flexibility:  This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week, may have potential to consider remote only.

FINRA Requirements:  FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Base salary range for the location(s) of:

Colorado Springs, CO $64,500 - $111,000 USD Annual*

 

*Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance. Salary range disclosure as required by sb19-085 when hiring in Colorado and S9427A when hiring in New York.
