Purpose:
The demand and capacity manager will be directly responsible for understanding, reviewing, analyzing, and communicating information related to the near to long term capacity for all operations within the region. This position will also be involved with preparing and monitoring working capital as it relates to capacity. The position manages various activities including capacity planning, and integration of new business for both short-term (18 mo) and long-term planning (5 year).

Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the OE Commercial Director and Manufacturing Directors to develop a mid- term plan related to OE customer demand.
Develop a capacity utilization tool/simulation to improve demand and planning accuracy and move toward better machine and labor efficiency for all AA plants for current state through 5 years out
Prepare and lead quarterly capacity utilization meetings focusing on 3-5 years in the future and highlighting any potential capacity constraints or inefficiencies and make part move recommendations as needed and with awareness of our long-term market strategy.
Manage monthly S&OP (Fabrication) and quarterly S&OP (AA) meetings and monitor the demand plan performance throughout the month.
Coordinate, communicate, and manage midterm activities with the Material Group Leaders and Plant Managers related to capacity planning and S&OP.
Lead and Manage the EOP meetings to coordinate between commercial, procurement, packaging, and production supply plants the meet customer demands and the end of part life with lead times and component planning
Maintain the long-term planning schedule to support new business.
Run analysis for all business cases to coordinate the production allocation for new or transferred parts maintaining the long-term planning schedule to support new business
Maintain all plant routings, part assignments and KPI data in planning systems (Quintiq) along with assistance from Material Group Leaders.
Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy.
Participate in kick off meetings for new parts and provide detailed capacity information to quote team. Establish separate and regular review process with quote team to discuss capacity.
Further develop tool to generate scenario-based capacity analysis for review upon request
Develop parameters to define working capital forecasting and budgeting aligned with capacity loading
Develop process of escalation for significant changes in capacity because of forecast changes, production performance, and/or inventory changes
Manage all customer portal capacity information requests in conjunction with commercial.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years specific industry/functional experience
Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, advanced charting, and visual representations.
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written)
Qualifications Desired:
Experience with SAP
Experience with quality management systems
