Summary
Hunt Valve, powered by Fairbanks Morse Defense, is seeking a Storeroom Clerk who can keep up with our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will ensure smooth storeroom operations and keep stock rooms and warehouses organized and clean.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining an organized and clean workspace
Cross-checking items against physical and/or digital documents
Checking items for quality and quantity issues
Maintaining item traceability
Handling inventory control of materials
Ensuring proper movement of items on the shop floor
Monitoring incoming and outbound material
Using a forklift, crane, and other industrial machinery as necessary
Using an ERP system
Act in a manner that results in collaboration, teamwork, and respect toward all internal and external contacts
Constant exposure to a manufacturing setting
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in order to operate machines efficiently
Must have the dexterity to handle various objects necessary to complete the essential functions
Adhere to company Malpractice & Ethics Policies
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
High School Diploma (Preferred)
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail
Proficient at understanding work orders, purchase orders, packing slips, and certifications
Able to use industrial machinery (forklift, crane, hand tools)
Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, ERP knowledge, Data entry)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
