Position Summary:

Hunt Valve Company has been manufacturing shipboard valves for naval customers for decades. The company, now part of Fairbanks Morse Defense, is rapidly growing and in need of a Supply Chain Admin for the procurement department.This position would directly support the purchasing team in day-to-day activities to ensure work progresses on schedule and with high quality. Hunt offers a unique working environment that allows a hands-on individual to develop and grow as the company expands its footprint and maintains high performance as a trusted defense contractor.

Essential Job Functions:

Reviews material availability and creates work orders

Responsible for purchasing tooling and indirect spend

Work with planning and operations to support manufacturing schedules

Essential Job Requirements:

EDUCATION: College degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of purchasing or planning experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Must be able to communicate effectively in writing, by phone and face-to-face.Excellent analytical and organization skills. Works well in a fast-paced environment with minimal day-to-day supervision. Working experience in an ERP system, preferably Infor Visual. Highly skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
