An academic acute care hospital located in Queens County New York is currently searching for an experienced Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join their healthcare team.

This fully accredited medical center is home to nearly 300-beds and has proudly served the Queens County and Nassau County communities for over one hundred years. The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor will join a fully accredited pathology and laboratory service line that operates 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. This laboratory service line provides broad and routine testing of specimens across the entire health system. The laboratory is a state-of-the-art, full services, automated lab that process over 2 million tests each year. The specialty laboratory services offered include Hematology, Coagulation, Virology, Oncology, Mycology, Bacteriology, Cyto-hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Toxicology, Immunology/Serology, Imunohematology, Endocrinology, Cytopathology, Histopathology, Point of Care Testing, and Blood Bank Transfusion services.

Under the direction of the Director of Laboratory Services, the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor will work amongst board-certified Clinical Lab Pathologists, Clinical Lab Managers, Lead Medical Technologists, Medical Technologists, Histo-technicians, Pathology and Lab Assistants. The Clinical Lab Supervisor will oversee all daily activities of the service line including quality assurance initiatives, monitoring all testing procedures and protocols, hire and train staff, and assists in maintain the department budget. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASPC).
