Job Summary

Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant is seeking a highly experienced Classroom/Simulator Instructor to join the Operations Training team.

This position will initially fill an instructor role in the Initial Licensed Operator Training program.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop instructional materials and conduct training for licensed and non-licensed operators.




• This instructor level works on the most complex training topics and is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training in the main control room simulator, classroom, laboratory, and on the job.




• Responsible for maintaining training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory and legal requirements.




• Participate in internal and external training program assessments to ensure compliance and benchmark industry best practices.




• Participate in rigorous technical and instructional continuing training.




• Maintain training program documentation consistent with nuclear industry training requirements




• Support the Emergency Response Organization




• Support Refueling Outages as assigned




• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent




• Strong work ethic focused on timely completion of assigned work, procedure compliance, and leadership.




• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills




• Must hold or have held a PWR or BWR SRO Certification or SRO License




• The preferred candidate will hold or has held a SRO License at CPNPP
