Business Analyst, Provider Network Services

Medical Economics Department is looking for top skilled Business Analyst, Provider Network Services. Is that you?

Work location: Southwestern Health Resources Headquarters, 1601/1603 Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.

Work environment: Medical Economics Department.

Please note: The Business Analyst, Provider Network Services will be an employee of Southwestern Health Resources (SWHR). SWHR is a clinically integrated network formed by Texas Health Resources (THR) and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW).

Work hours:


  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Monday - Friday, Day shift.
  • This is a Hybrid position, requiring onsite workdays during the week, based on department business needs.
  • In-person attendance required at department meetings, trainings and/or other department authorized activities, at the above-mentioned address or other locations as directed by the department management.

Here's What You Need

Education


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field required.
Experience

  • Require 2 years' progressively responsible experience in finance and/or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in healthcare delivery environment preferred.
  • Highly prefer experience in Data Management using tools such as SQL, Python.
Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Health Plan spending, premiums, Per Member/Per Month (PMPM) calculations highly desired.
What You Will Do

Position Responsibilities

The Provider Network Services Business Analyst works under general supervision to provide responsible skilled assistance in performing financial analysis for department. This position is responsible for completing complex financial analysis and developing forecast models.

Position Functions

  • Completes variety of monthly financial and clinical management reports and reviews all reports for errors and inconsistencies, analyzes variations in forecasts and actual performance; determines reasons for variance; develops recommendations for improvement; completes written summaries of data.
  • Analyzes areas of performance for quality and trends, presents findings, and makes recommendations to upper management.
  • Prepares financial models and conducts financial analyses such as incentive polices.
  • Designs and develops reports based on performance measures. Completes special projects as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
