Job Description:

SUMMARY

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security posture of our IT infrastructure, including cloud, virtual, mobile, web, and network environments. You will also provide technical guidance and support to other IT staff and business units on cybersecurity and IT best practices and solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with a solid grounding in IT management is expected to champion a multifaceted role. Their key responsibilities encompass:

• Conducting regular security assessments to pinpoint vulnerabilities, ensuring software and hardware are promptly updated through robust patch management processes, and leading incident responses with efficiency and precision in the event of a breach.


• Shouldering the essential task of configuring and overseeing firewalls and intrusion detection systems, ensuring optimal and secure network performance.


• Managing user access, reinforcing the principle of least privilege, and ensuring data integrity through comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plans.


• Work collaboratively with diverse organizational teams, integrating security protocols into various projects, all while staying abreast of the latest in cybersecurity threats and advancements.

TRAVEL

Limited out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.


• Minimum 5 years in roles centered around cybersecurity, IT systems administration, or similar areas.


• Solid grounding in AWS components, AWS WAF, Load Balancer, and VPC.


• Expertise in Mobile Device Management (MDM), Advanced Network Infrastructure, and Patch Management.


• Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Router/Switch Management, Zero Trust Architecture, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).


• Expertise in Email Proxy Security, Vulnerability Management, remediation techniques,


• Active Directory (AD) Management


• Expertise in O365


• Deep familiarity with IT infrastructure elements, platforms, VMWare hypervisors


• Awareness and understanding of frameworks and norms, including NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA.


• Stellar communication, collaboration, and analytical prowess.


• Self-driven with the versatility to integrate into team-driven projects.


• Preparedness to work onsite, complemented by periods of hybrid work schedules.
