Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with CQ Medical local, State and Federal OSHA rules and regulations.
Aspires to achieve a zero-injury culture through visible support of the injury prevention and safety program
Ensure required safety training is complete for all team members and training records are maintained.
Participate in the new hire safety orientation process.
Assist the organization in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities.
Conduct regular walk-through safety inspections to identify hazards, document findings, recommend corrective actions and follow through to ensure corrections have been made.
Assist in establishing policies for preventive actions through studying incidents and potential risks in general work environments.
Ensure incident investigation, mitigation and reporting process is followed.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with all team members, vendors and customers.
Facilitate communication of company safety policies, procedures and standards with all visitors, including contractors and vendors.
Complete administrative responsibilities and documentation, including training records, accident/incident reporting, OSHA log updates, employee files and workers compensation claim filing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Safety, Health, and Environmental related Bachelor’s degree (or demonstrated progress toward a degree)
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Highly motivated, strong team player, with strong ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills
Standard knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent verbal and written skills
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Work Environment:
In wet, hot and cold environments inside and outside of the facility
In ear, eye and foot protection areas
Under pressure of deadlines and manage moderate levels of stress
Physical Requirements:
