Job Description:

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent; specialized education and training in a related field. College education in related field preferred.

Skill(s): Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient keyboarding skills; sufficient knowledge of various PC software and applications; ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.; visual and auditory skills; valid driver’s license.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of related experience normally required.


General Responsibilities

Responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of the technology function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with established operating policies and procedures; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.


Essential Duties

1. Performs a variety of duties in support of the technology function of which the following are illustrative:

a. Answers telephone calls to the IT Department from internal and external customers.

b. Coordinates and follows through on the work request process.

c. Responds to user requests for information regarding downtime; assists in problem determination and resolution.

d. Maintains contact with users on operational and production problems; resolves issues and refers extraordinary issues to other departmental staff.

e. Assists with new station configuration and setup.

f. Configures and installs hardware and software.

g. Documents department procedures as directed by the VP IT / Security Officer.

h. Provides internal customers with training on hardware and systems.

i. Maintains case log for review with VP IT / Security Officer and follow-up with internal customers.

2. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

3. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness.

4. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

5. Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.

6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy

7. Maintains appropriate records and provides assigned reports.
