Job Description:

Vactor is currently seeking an Intern in our IT Department for the summer of 2024. This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience while applying what you have learned in school.  These internships typically run from May through August.  

Position Requirements:

• College student, preferably in junior or senior year of college pursuing an IT degree.

  • Incident Triage: Assist in investigating and categorizing security incidents, contributing to incident response efforts.


  • Vulnerability Management: Collaborate on identifying and prioritizing system and application vulnerabilities.


  • Device Security: Ensure compliance with security policies and configurations, including Intune policies, for endpoints and devices.


  • Security Research: Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, trends, and conduct research on emerging issues.


  • Security Tools: Gain hands-on experience with tools like Defender for Endpoint, Tenable, and other industry solutions.


  • Documentation: Maintain records of security incidents, vulnerability assessments, and configurations.


  • Deployment Projects: Support security-related deployment projects as needed.


  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align with security policies and practices.


  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and project progress.


  • Training: Participate in cybersecurity training to enhance skills and knowledge
