As the Sr. Software Architect you will:
Lead the architectural analysis, design, and development of software and firmware products in the Hypertherm Associates portfolio
Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks that impact all of our software product's security, performance, reliability, scalability, extensibility or maintainability
Be a key contributor to our next generation of CNCs
Collaborate with agile engineering teams, DecSecOps, product owners, and engineering leaders across the company to ensure our products holistically meet the needs of our customers
Proactively seek out industry trends and emerging technologies
Who you are and the experience you bring:
BS in a STEM field, or equivalent demonstrated experience with 10+ years in software engineering and 5+ years as a software architect
Strong background in a broad array of design patterns - spanning embedded systems to cloud applications
Experience with real-time systems
Expert skills in API design
Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
Strong planning and organizational skills (working with software and hardware teams)
Full Software Development Lifecycle experience in an agile environment
Experience working with CNC development or other types of control systems
Ability to bring people and disparate systems together
Technical leadership experience - ability to positively influence
Skilled in leveraging UML for design
Preferred experience that differentiates you:
Experience with .NET and the Microsoft eco-system
A demonstrated customer first attitude
Strong interpersonal skills, hungry to learn, and excited to be part of the team
Choice of Remote or at out West Lebanon, NH (Relocation assistance available if choosing one of our office locations)
Up to 25% of the time - primarily to our offices in West Lebanon, NH, Kent, Washington, Lockport (NY), and Montreal

Base Compensation Range for this position (Grade 23) is $ 113,142 - $188,569
Annual Profit-Sharing with a target of 20%
