Directs the activitiesand supervises the overall operation of Business Services, including accountsreceivable, data entry, billing, and refunds. Responsible for the efficient andeffective utilization of resources and the proper accountability of revenues. Supervisesstaff.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Directs the overall operation of Business Services and supervises personnel. Maintain liaison with other departments requiring services from the office.2. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility, efficient and effective utilization of resources, and the proper accountability of revenues and expenditures.3. Provides clear and concise staff reports for managerial action.4. Supervises the disbursement of all refunds.5. Trains and develops staff members concerning use of the computer system, reports and other requirements.6. Trains staff concerning procedures to clean and sanitize stations and desk spaces and ensures supplies to do so are available.7. Responsible for the imprest cash fund including disbursement, reconciliation, and reimbursements.8. Supervises the compilation or assists in compiling reports such as monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and reconciliations including but not limited to the following:· Warrant intercept file processing.· Collection account processing/notification.· Bad debt processing/write-off procedures.· Student cost information.· Student payment option plan.· 1098 processing.· Change fund reconciliation.· Prepares and completes journal entries.9. Maintains a complete and systematic set of records of all billing-receivable transactions of OSU-Oklahoma City. Updates and maintains the billing-receivable system.10. Maintains knowledge of and follows OSU and OSU-Oklahoma City policy regarding collection of student fees, refund of student fees, disbursement of financial aid and all other office functions.11. Maintains changes in fee schedule and tuition related to student accounts.12. Responsible for keeping information via OSU-Oklahoma City Business Services website current.13. Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development opportunities each year.14. Performs other duties as assigned.

3-5 years administrative accounting experience requiringgeneral ledger fund accounting and accounts receivable experience.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Required:
Knowledge and skills of accounting and/or bookkeeping principles, methodology, and practices.Knowledge of cashiering and cash management principles, systems, procedures, and standards. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.Highly proficient technical skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately.Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to a multicultural environment in an effort to work and communicate effectively with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.High degree of initiative to work independently and also collaborate in a team environment.Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
Previousexperience in higher education.Master's degree in Accounting, BusinessAdministration or Finance.
May be required to work extended hours during designated heavy enrollment time.Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms. .
Duties require extended periods of standing, sitting, talking, and listening.Duties require extensive use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
