Facilities Intern at Worthington Industries in Westerville, Ohio

Job Description:

Worthington Enterprises is seeking a summer Facilities Intern to assist with projects within the Building Products maintenance/facilities group. Interns will work on various projects that support our Westerville manufacturing facility and shadow our local maintenance and engineering groups. Tasks may include assisting team in facility 6S, working on process improvements within our Westerville facility, and several other various roles.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside facility maintenance reliability team on a multitude of facility based projects.
• Perform janitorial duties including sweep, mop, vacuum, clean, etc.
• Perform occasional grounds keeping duties for the facility.
• Set up, tear down and clean for special activities such as the picnics and other facility events.
• The ability to work from drawings, prints and a work order system.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures and have good safety awareness and efficiency skills.
• Other projects as assigned.

• Able to work full time (40 hrs/week) during the summer semester.
• 2nd or 3rd year engineering or Maintenance student preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Self-Starter
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Valid driver's license
• Students with Engineering or Maintenance focus preferred.
