Who we are looking for:

Self-Motivated candidate who would be managing Sanctions Screening Escalations include reviewing, researching, and advising on the correct dispositioning of alerts from State Street's transaction screening systems that are escalated by the Risk Management Center of Excellence ("RMCoE") in Global Operations (responsible for the first level review of such alerts).

What you will be responsible for

As a manager you will be responsible for the below:


  • Reviewing, researching and advising on the correct dispositioning of alerts from State Street's transaction screening systems that are escalated by the Risk Monitoring Center of Excellence (RMCoE).

  • Ensuring that the procedures established by the Sanctions Screening Escalations team for escalated transaction screening alert review are followed.

  • Contributing to the Sanctions Screening Escalations team's work to enhance and improve the transaction screening alert review process.

  • Liaising, where necessary, with RMCoE on the transaction screening alert process.

  • Supporting Monitoring and Surveillance activity on the first level alert review decisions taken by the RMCoE.

  • Where capacity permits, assisting the Sanctions Screening Escalations team with other aspects of its work (e.g., ongoing entity screening alert review, reviewing and researching complex sanctions cases escalated by Shared Services from client onboarding due diligence).

  • Ensuring all procedures and processes are followed by conducting Quality Control testing, focusing on where automation can be added and where tasks can be streamlined and presenting those efficiency proposals to the Escalation Team

  • Maintaining the monthly metrics, ensuring accuracy of the monthly metrics, and completing the monthly management report

These Primary skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Prior experience in AML, Sanctions compliance, Anti-bribery and Corruption


  • Good knowledge of bank products. Ability to understand and analyze common transaction formats such as SWIFT, CHIPs and Fedwire; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; proficiency in Excel is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks in a high pressure, deadline environment.

  • Strong abilities in analytical thinking, problem solving, research, time management, and verbal and written communication.

  • Capable of producing high quality and/or final work product and solutions under strict regulatory or management deadlines


  • Writing and Reporting - Writes clearly and correctly; structures information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience.


  • Learning and Researching - Rapidly learns new tasks; demonstrates an immediate understanding of newly presented information; gathers comprehensive information to support decision making.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree

Additional requirements
  • Knowledge in financial systems- Bloomberg, Thomas Reuters, World check desirable.
  • Previous people management experience a strong plus.
