At TranSystems, we have established and continue to nurture a culture that is committed to providing quality services for our clients. We’re looking for top talent to grow with our firm.
Responsibilities
What you'll be challenged to do:
The Senior Business Development Coordinator (SBDC) plays a key role in supporting our continued growth across Florida, leading area efforts for transportation infrastructure sectors. The SBDC will be assigned to clients and be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow relationships and deliver tactics at each stage of the proposal and business development process, including hands-on proposal writing and development for our Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, Clearwater, and Tampa offices. You will be an integral partner to our other Florida Client Service Team members, as well as part of a national business development team focused on work sharing and career development.
While our ideal candidate will bring transportation experience in the A/E/C industry with unique expertise and knowledge of FDOT, we are looking for someone with a strategic, collaborative, creative, and proactive attitude. In addition, this person has a unique talent and drive for creativity and storytelling, strategy, relationship development, and developing effective strategies to build our presence in the Florida marketplace.
This role requires a significant amount of self-direction and forward thinking. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Your Role and Impact
You will work with marketing and business development teams, client service leaders, and subject matter experts to execute business development and marketing strategies for targeted opportunities and clients throughout Florida. These activities include major company pursuits, proposals, and shortlist interview presentations, client strategy and action planning, marketing and business development initiatives, and database management.
All qualified candidates will be required to provide work samples and asked to participate in proficiency screenings, such as writing, editing, proofing, and presentation creativity.
Proposals and Presentations | Pursuit Strategy and Production
You will prepare strategic, client-focused proposals and presentations and statement of qualification responses, coach shortlist interview teams, and lead the development of marketing and pre-positioning efforts. In addition, you will be responsible for managing and executing the pursuit capture plan, facilitating pursuit strategy meetings, coordinating deliverables with teaming partners, and creating a winning strategy to ensure the preparation and delivery of high-quality, creative, and compliant proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
You will brainstorm and strategize with pursuit and client service teams to understand what the client decision-makers need and value. Part of your role will be to develop insights on how our proposals can systematically be more successful. You will provide constructive feedback, pushing ideas further, and debrief proposal outcomes with client service teams, gaining insight on what we did well and where we could do better.
Major Company Pursuits Capture Planning | Pursuit Strategy and Execution
You will lead capture planning efforts for Florida Major Company Pursuits (our most significant area pursuits), in conjunction with the area officers, Managing Director, and/or Market Sector Leaders. This includes guiding teams through TranSystems’ capture planning process, starting at least 3-12 months before the RFP is released. You will lead efforts to ensure pursuit teams are positioning appropriately in advance of RFP release, and providing strategic, client-focused proposals and presentations and statement of qualification responses, coaching shortlist interview teams, and leading the development of marketing and pre-positioning efforts. In addition, you'll be responsible for leading or coaching others to lead the pursuit capture plan, facilitating pursuit strategy meetings, coordinating deliverables with teaming partners, and creating a winning strategy to ensure the preparation and delivery of high-quality, creative, and compliant proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for these highly-competitive and large pursuits.
Client Service Teams | Client Strategy and Action Planning
Working closely with the Florida Client Service Teams and Regional and National Leadership, you will facilitate client strategy meetings to help us achieve client-specific goals and grow our position in the Florida marketplace. In addition, you will work to identify trends, client behavior, opportunities and gather competitor and marketplace intelligence to develop actionable plans to build and strengthen client relationships.
Marketing Information System Management (MIS) | Qualifications, Pipeline, Wins, and Sales
A fundamental responsibility within the role of the SBDC is maintaining and updating information in our Marketing Information System (Deltek Vision) to include opportunity data, project information, and resumes. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate record of the Florida pursuit performance data including leads / pipeline, wins, and sales. Another important responsibility is capturing quality project descriptions of projects and maintaining up-to-date and current resumes for project teams in Deltek Vision. You may also support the Managing Directors with pipeline, wins and sales reporting, identifying trends and updates on pending wins and sales, and tracking toward the client, area, regional, and market sector sales goals.
