ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a NA Capex Sourcing Manager, you play a pivotal role in driving sourcing activities crucial to material procurement, outsourcing, and vendor selection. This position is central to developing integrated processes across internal functions such as engineering, operations, purchasing, finance, and logistics. You will oversee strategic sourcing analysis, identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities of the sourcing function. This role will be responsible for achieving sourcing and procurement objectives (P&L relevant cost reduction initiatives, Full- TCO approach, make or buy, etc.).

You will also support all local Capex sourcing activities in the region, in cross- functional cooperation with the Global and Regional Substrate-Management, GOG and Supply Chain Operation leadership team as well as the local tactical procurement management and engineering. In addition, you will support and lead of strategic supplier negotiation, data and spend analysis.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate, Drive and implement new cost reduction opportunities (Full TCO) including action plans.

  • Support of the Global Sr. Director Operating Equipment and GSC-Team (Global Supply Chain).

  • Source all strategic Capex in NA and define the overall sourcing strategy including multiyear sourcing roadmap for strategic equipment.

  • Working closely with a leading team of technicians, with the goal to reduce cost, increase efficiency and reduce Greif´s CO2 footprint (GOG Team)

  • Liaise with Engineering and Project Teams. Where appropriate develop the procurement strategy for each type and category. Drive, support the make or buy process.

  • Collate Specifications, Technical and Quality requirements and produce detailed RFQ for formal issue to the Supply Chain

  • Develop and implement standard tendering documentation including compliance and evaluation templates.

  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier´s reputation and history.

  • Manage the RFQ process involving all relevant stakeholder and ensure appropriate technical and end user reviews are incorporated and recorded within the tender review and decision-making process.

  • Evaluate Tender responses in terms of Safety, health Environment, Quality, and value for Money.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions ensuring compliance with relevant international laws and trading practices and Incoterms.

  • Coordinate Contract Milestones, drawings, documentation, deliverables (e.g., FAT´s and acceptance events)

  • Manage Import and Export requirements i.e., customs docs, etc.

  • Manage supply chain risk (Supplier base and critical supplier performance)

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor´s Degree or relevant experience

  • 10+ years working experience.

  • Experience of sourcing and purchasing at an international level and negotiating in foreign environment

  • Experience in contract and risk management

  • Experience with INCOTERMS and international imports                                                                                    

  • English, excellent verbal, and written skills

  • Travel – you will be required to travel in line with business need to perform the role (+/- 30%)

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Microsoft Office, Power BI, E-procurement platforms like COUPA, ERP-Systems

  • You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company: (GSC, Substrate Managers, Greif Sales and Key Account Teams, Global Operations Group, Greif Senior Leaders, Greif Suppliers, Internal Customers and Greif Legal services)

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $ 135,000.00 to $ 160,000.00 per year. The base pay offered for this position may vary based on market data and other factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may be eligible for a short-term incentive in addition to base pay.
