Summary: Provide leadership and direction to associates on assigned shift. Ensure associates are productively engaged in their assigned tasks and following approved procedures. Monitor associate performance and provide training/feedback as required to ensure performance meets standards for productivity,safety, customer service, and teamwork. Fill in as Team Leader in the absence of the department Team Leader.


Responsibilities:



  • Ensure work area is safe, clean, and well organized.

  • Ensure work is prioritized correctly.

  • Ensure an even and consistent workflow through all department processes.

  • Direct and coordinate the activities and assignments of all associates assigned to the area.

  • Monitor work methods and coach to established operating procedures.

  • Ensure all associates are following established policies, rules and regulations.

  • Notify Team Leader about performance issues.

  • Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are adequately supplied and properly maintained.

  • Provide training, directly or through trainers, to all associates as needed.

  • Recognize and report disciplinary issues, timely.

  • Monitor and report variances to established service levels.

  • Recognize staffing inequities and report need to increase or reduce staff accordingly.

  • Recognize, diagnose, and fix/report system problems.

  • Forecast daily work completion.

  • Report daily work completion.

  • Work closely with other departments ensuring effective and timely transfer of product and information.

  • Monitor and manage product and operating supplies inventories.

  • Work closely with third-party providers ensuring good work flow, information flow, and adequate Acushnet furnished supplies and equipment.

  • Investigate and respond to internal and external queries.

  • Notify Team Leader if unable to resolve.

  • Work with system managers to resolve computer and IS problems.

  • Assist Team Leader with projects as needed.

  • Assist other areas as needed.


Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Manhattan Associates WMS experience required.

  • Acushnet Global System experience required.

  • MS Office applications experience required.

  • Radio Frequency hand-held computer experience required.

  • Distribution center processing experience required.

  • Good communication skills including direct, telephone, and electronic.

  • Proven effective delegating skills.

  • Good analytical skills.

  • Proven reliability and punctuality record.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated accurate, high quality work.

  • Must have the ability to: Read, write and speak English, Perform basic math calculations, Use a computer, Pass Leadership Assessment
