About the Opportunity

The Richmond Fed’s Legal Department is looking for a Support Specialist to become a key player on its administrative team. The team provides support to the Legal Department across a wide range of activities and projects spanning law, compliance, and ethics. Responsibilities will include office and technology administration, maintaining certain departmental sites, workflow management and improvement, and document review. The ideal candidate for the role will be comfortable using a variety of technology products, have the smarts to learn and quickly master a wide range of tasks, the flexibility to manage ever-changing priorities, and the selflessness and good nature to be a true team player.

What You Will Do:

•Provide administrative support to the Legal Department, including providing key support for its Ethics program

•Create documents, workflows, presentations, training, and other materials using Office 365 and Microsoft Office applications (experience with advanced features of SharePoint Online strongly desired)

•Organize and summarize information clearly and succinctly

•Proofread and edit documents for style, content, internal consistency, and readability

•Understand and proofread contracts, policies, and other sensitive materials

•Participate in or provide support to Bank and/or Federal Reserve System workgroups, as needed

•Support efforts to monitor legislative and regulatory activities

•Organize and file electronic documents

•Create and/or provide responses to ad hoc reporting or other information requests, as needed

•Perform purchasing, payment, and reconciliation activities (experience with Ariba applications preferred)

•Arrange, schedule, and coordinate large group meetings and events

•Manage ordering and delivery of workplace technology

•Maintain internal departmental sites

•Understand and, as needed, perform roles and support-level tasks assigned to the Legal Department

Qualifications:

•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

•Prior experience in a law office is useful but not required.  

•High school diploma or GED

Knowledge and Skills:

•Proficient in Adobe Pro and Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint Online

•Keen attention to detail and accuracy

•Job title (Senior or Advanced) and salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience.

The hiring range for the Support Specialist, Senior is $53,00 - $72,930 annually. 

The hiring range for the Support Specialist, Advanced is $57,800 - $79,530 annually.

•The Fifth District provides a hybrid work environment. This position is required to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
