Job Description:

Job Summary: Assist the Dining Manager to help provide direct dining services to residents, and supervision to servers in our Assisted Living Dining areas to help ensure a safe, healthy and enjoyable dining experience for residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Assists the manager in the daily operations and staffing needs and support of the department, including on-site supervision of departmental staff.  


• Assists in developing and providing department training needs by assisting in training of all department staff, and the onboarding of new staff. 


• Reviews new menu cycles as they are developed and prior to their implementation in all assisted living dining areas and distributes weekly menus.


• Responsible for reviewing all meal count sheets for accuracy, including apartment trays,  assisted living trays, guest and resident meals if applicable.  


• Updates all of food and beverage consumption logs on a weekly basis based on census changes.


• Responsible for monitoring all refrigerators for cleanliness, correct labeling of food products and correct dating of food items; completing daily check list for each schedules shift; clearing tables during and after meals and bringing dishes to the dish room.


• Responsible for managing the proper use of pre-meal set up and post-meal clean up according to station check lists. 


• Responsible for learning and effectively communicating resident dietary needs and preferences within the team, and with other staff.  

Successful candidate will have skill and experience in either hospitality food service delivery, and preferably in the healthcare area;  and demonstrated experience in supervision or leading a team.  Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekend rotations, is essential.
