Job Description:

As a Software Engineer II in Fulfillment Services, you’ll work on a high-performance engineering team of back-end and front-end engineers, business system analysts and quality assurance engineers. You’ll partner with various product, UX and business stakeholders, as well as operational teams. This demands thorough understanding of modern presentation technologies including React and React Native

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days on site at a Best Buy location and some days from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. For this role you must be within a drivable distance to our Richfield, MN corporate office.

What you’ll do


  • Create React and React Native Experiences for Web and App

  • Raise and review Pull requests.

  • Write unit tests, integration test and adhere to best code quality practices.

  • Set up CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments and releases.

  • Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learning new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other engineers.

  • Fix software defects and support a highly distributed production system.

  • Pair and share work to encourage the growth of those around you.

  • Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback

  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity

Minimum Qualifications:


  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • 2 years development experience with JavaScript/ECMAScript, JSX, and CSS (Less or Sass).

  • 1 year React or NodeJS

  • 1 year React-Native

  • 1 year of GraphQL

  • 1 year of experience with Typescript and Webpack 5.x

  • 1 year experience in web application design/architecture (client/server, RESTful APIs)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of relevant professional experience

  • 1 year experience mentoring and leading junior engineers

  • Build process experience, automation (Gulp / Webpack / Jenkins / Github Actions)

  • Knowledge of performance and web accessibility best practices

  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine)
