As a Manufacturing Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Collaborating with cross functional teams for manufacturing start-ups, new technologies, and cost reduction projects in the Command™ value stream


• Identifying, initiating and implementing process improvement projects through the use of Continuous Improvement


• Supporting Command Converting production operations to meet daily, weekly, monthly targets


• Improving Environmental, Health, and Safety of the manufacturing process


• Willingness to occasionally support nights and weekends

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) OR be within the final 2 months of completing the Bachelor´s degree

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Three (3) years of combined manufacturing and/or engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment


• Experience with rotary converting and automation technology and processes


• Experience with web handling and slitting processes


• Experience with commissioning and qualifying new processes and equipment


• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with time constraints


• Works well on cross-functional team in a continuous improvement environment


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Work location: Clinton, TN

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $93,033 - $113,708, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
