Position Summary:

The Industrial Engineer will create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations. Optimizes workflow and output through the facility. Lead team based problem-solving initiatives to eliminate waste using LEAN principles and tools.

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties):

• Lead team-based projects to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines.
• Draft Job Hazard Analysis for individual work centers.
• Lead Set-up Reduction projects to reduce work center changeover times.
• Update Key metrics on a weekly basis.
• Implement Parsable operator connect system by developing templates to gather information from operators on the plant floor, related to safety, production, material consumption, downtime, etc.
• Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.
• Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization's competitive edge.
• Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
• Develops and maintains management information, planning, and control systems.
• Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
