Duties and Responsibilities:
The University Registrar is responsible for the supervision and management of all administrative and operational functions of the Office of the Registrar. The Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students. In carrying out this responsibility, the individual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective student registration and enrollment.
  • Develop procedures ensuring the security of student data files and sets policy and procedure for their responsible use.
  • Maintains up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, calendar, and final examination schedules
  • Manages efficient and effective use of classrooms.
  • Supervises and maintains the student record components of PeopleSoft and degree audit systems.
  • Oversee the processes for graduation and certification of degrees, enrollment and degree verification, grade appeals, production of official transcripts, diplomas, state residency petitions, and other updates to students records.
  • Counsel and advises students, faculty, and staff on academic matters; and interprets and enforces policies and regulations of the University, Boards of Regents, FERPA and Supervisors.
  • Serves as Co-Chair of the Graduation Committee and is a member of various other Councils and Committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Education: The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree preferably in counseling, student personnel, accounting, higher education administration, business or related field.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience working in a registrar office or any area related to enrollment management.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Registrar should have extensive knowledge of student record management with demonstrated skills in organizational management, budget management and interpersonal skills. Registrar should have documented background in providing outstanding customer service in a diverse environment. Registrar should have strong written and oral skills. Registrar should have strong knowledge of current technology in a records environment including extensive experience with integrated student information systems (PeopleSoft experience preferred), degree auditing systems and scheduling software.
