DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking an energetic leader to work collaboratively with technical leads to prepare winning proposals and presentations. This position can be worked remotely or hybrid in any Michael Baker office. The Proposal Coordinator will partner with jointly lead the development of a proposal or interview within the company's best practices framework. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative and organized and be able to balance varying skillsets including writing, and page layout. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work successfully with a team and should possess or be willing to develop project management skills. A successful Proposal Coordinator demonstrates a collaborative mindset, superior communication skills, problem solving ability, organizational skills, and transparency.

**We are looking for someone who is content to stay in this role on a long-term basis with no growth path projection*

They will manage proposal development efforts with responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Facilitate kick off meetings that define expectations.
• Identify tasks, assign responsibilities, and develop and manage adherence to proposal schedule.
• Assist technical manager in developing win themes.
• Schedule and facilitate proposal review meetings.
• Develop page layout and manage proposal documents.
• Lead the team in the development of visual and written content for proposals; edit proposal narrative as necessary.
• Communicate and coordinate status with the proposal team.

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Very flexible on years of experience in the planning, preparation, and development of architectural and engineering proposals and qualifications packages for government and private clients.
• Project management skills are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to focus on details and on the big picture.
• Organizational and conceptual thinking skills.
• Effective decision-making skills.
• Time management skills: ability to manage, organize, and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and document organization skills.
• Familiarity with the AEC industry is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus.
• Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with proposal database software, Deltek Vision is a plus.

The compensation range for this position is $57,000-$75,000 and will be dependent on the incoming candidates' skills and experience.
