Join San Diego's growing Technology Enablement Practice as a Cloud Engineer and help deliver engaging, modern cloud solutions, strategies, migrations, and applications at one of the nation's top-rated consultancies. We are open to hiring at Consultant or Senior Consultant-level, based on experience. Our team is looking for sharp, disciplined, and self-motivated individuals who have a passion for building cloud solutions with Amazon Web Services, Azure, and/or GCP.



What You'll Do

• Analyze, design, and build cloud-based solutions to address our client's needs for infrastructure-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, and software-as-a-service.


• Contribute to architecture discussions, help design application components and produce architectural deliverables


• Implement enterprise landing zones or significant cloud infrastructure


• Work with best-in-class teams and collaborate with client stakeholders to design and develop cloud solutions


• Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into an appropriate technical solutions

What You'll Bring

• Multiple years of experience with a major cloud provider or industry, including certifications from cloud providers or cloud supporting technologies


• Experience programming and scripting (for example: Java, bash, Python, JavaScript/NodeJS)


• Knowledge of data center hardware and principles and the cloud-native equivalents, (for example: DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies, Routing, firewalling, security appliances/services)


• Experience working with CI/CD and automation (for example: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab Runners, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines), configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Pulumi).


• Experience supporting cloud-based production workloads with an understanding of security, governance, high availability, and disaster recovery

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $105,000 to $186,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
