The Behavioral Health Team Leader is the working supervisor for a team of clinicians, med providers &/or paraprofessionals staff providing mental health &/or substance use disorders treatment services.Under supervision learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides clinical supervision to subordinates; reviews care plans, treatment provided, and staff documentation for conformity to agency and payer requirements.Appropriately interprets, implements, and enforces compliance with agency policies and procedures and safety regulations.Provides day-to-day oversight and administrative leadership and support to subordinate staff.Interviews, recommends hires, trains, and evaluates performance of staff. Schedules staff coverage.Manage a caseload of clients to include intakes/comprehensive assessments, treatment planning and provides educational and skill development group sessions as indicated on the service plan.Completes documentation within 24 hours.Requests authorization within required time frames.Provides crisis intervention services to existing and walk-in clients as needed.May serve as case manager to facilitate and ensure communication, linkage, and continuity of care between clients, physicians, other organizational components, community resources and service providers.Assesses clients need for emergency admission certification.Executes the legal forms required to refer the client to an emergency receiving facility for evaluation of the need for involuntary commitment to a hospital or crisis intervention facility.Arranges transfer of the client to the receiving facility.May assist with applicant interviews and hiring process.Trains and evaluates performance of staff. Schedules staff coverage.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND full clinical licensure in the state of Georgia (LCSW, LPC) AND Two years of related post-license experience OR Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent.Previous supervisory experienceMust pass criminal records fingerprint check.

Preferred Qualifications:
LCSW or LPCExperience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMRPrevious experience working with SPMI, SUD and/or co-occurring disorders.

Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.Other duties as assigned.
