We're looking for an Industrial Engineer I to support our industry leading products here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc.

As the Industrial Engineer I you will, as part of the production team, determine the most effective means for the use of capital, equipment, energy, facilities, information, material, people, and other assets to make a product. You will also plan utilization of resources and personnel to improve overall efficiency of the production value-stream.

What you'll do at Tosoh Quartz.

• Work with all levels of the organization including production workers, supervisors and supporting departments (Engineering and Quality Control).
• Train shop floor personnel on the fundamentals of Lean Production concepts.
• Design production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop and maintain efficiency/utilization reports/dashboards.
• Develop and implement process improvements.
• Develop production standards in cooperation with management and shop personnel.
• Prepare material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
• Design the layout of production work areas to minimize product transport and motion.
• Evaluate, analyze, and improve factory/product flow.
• Train staff for new processes and provide instructions and manuals.
• Manage process documentation and prepare production reports.
• Perform time and motion studies on key products to identify waste elimination opportunities.
• Design and implement pull systems while collaborating with stakeholders to improve manufacturing lead times.

Who you are.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to aggregate data and put into a meaningful format, including statistics analysis.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply Lean Manufacturing tools/techniques (value stream mapping, line balancing, motion mapping etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Documentation and organization skills.
• Proficiency in Office 365(MS Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.) strong Excel skills, experience with ERP systems.
