Job duties include: Preparing base surfaces by sweeping, scraping, sanding, or chipping away dirt and imperfections. Cutting flooring material to fit around obstacles. Inspecting and ensuring the firmness and dryness of surfaces to be covered. Trimming excess materials, and securely joining sections to create tight joints. Marking and measuring guidelines using chalk lines and dividers. Cut covering and foundation materials according to blueprints. Rolling and pressing sheet walls and floor coverings into cement bases. Applying adhesive cement for bonding. The job also involves removing excess cement, heating, and patching floor covering materials, painting epoxy coatings. Requirements: 6 months of experience in the aforementioned job duties & High School//GED Diploma or equivalent.
