The program manager’s responsibilities include working closely with internal and external stakeholders to prepare comprehensive action plans detailed with resource requirements, timeframes, and budgets for projects. Perform various management tasks: schedule, track, maintain project documentation, troubleshoot, correspond with clients & other contractors, and support project personnel. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in managing overall program execution
Assists in all aspects of managing the program, including project planning, development, and implementation according to cost, schedule, and technical (scope) requirements
Work with internal teams
Maintain schedule management by performing a daily review of the critical path
Make sure that participants' and clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
Help prepare budgets, sub-contractor, and vendor negotiations
Work with sub-contracted teams and vendors
Monitor and document project progress and handle any issues that arise
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
Communicate and report to stakeholders
Lead and train down to field personnel
Work with others to identify and eliminate obstacles
Use tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
Exercise exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive client issues
Maintain ongoing concept of operations for overall program efficiencies and expansion
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field. (Can be substituted for 6 years of Project Management experience in a related field).
Strong critical thinking skills
Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong leadership and management skills
Preferred Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or related
Experience and understanding of reporting systems and CRM software
Management experience with HUD, CDBG, or HUD CDBG-DR programs is a must
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.This position must be able to work 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with an occasional on-call weekend. However, due to the nature of our work, all employees must be available 24/7/365, or as needed. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends is required based on needs.
Travel
This position requires travel as needed, sometimes frequently, including site visits and supporting new business.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Additional Notes:
This position will work closely with various vendors, applicants, and stakeholders and be the point of contact for the client.
