Description: Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead and support the site in regards to the warehouse and distribution operations. They are working 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday and they have openings on all shifts.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Enforces operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
Coordinates repairs for equipment with outside vendors and/or forklift mechanics.
Works with production supervisors to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
Oversees receiving and cycle count activities.
Trains all new warehouse employees and re-evaluates training needs based on individual performance.
Coordinates staffing requirements to cover attendance shortage.
Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
Performs month end inventory and cycle counts to ensure physical inventories reconcile with books.
Functional user for Warehouse WMS system
Ensures maintenance of clean, orderly and safe warehouse.
Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
Resolves subordinates time, attendance and payroll issues with Human Resources and Payroll Dept.
Actively contributes to the company cost reduction and continuous improvements via team or project assignment.
Maintain operations in compliance with SOP, GMP, FDA, and other product quality standards.
Assures Safety Policies are followed. Proactively maintain a safe work environment. Reports and investigates all accidents in a timely fashion.
Develop improvement plans to increase efficiency in the shipping operation.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Shipping and Dock areas.
Ownership of Finished Goods inventory, ensuring that product is shipped properly and Hold product is handled according to guidelines and disposition.
Ensure all shipping documents are created and maintained accurately. This includes BOLs, Hold tags and associated documents.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related Business fields.
3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in food manufacturing/packing is preferred
Proven successful record in managing, motivating and building teams
Ability to drive cultural change and lead by example
Experience in process improvement is desired
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include: Word, Excel, Power Point, Email
Good interpersonal and time management skills
SAP experience a plus
