Who we are looking for

We are looking for a well-qualified and motivated candidate to be the Global Head of Consultant Relations working on the Sales and Client Coverage team. This person will be responsible for the oversight of consultant relationships across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. As a leading member of consultant relations, the ideal candidate should be able to effectively communicate with Partners, Principals and other senior-level employees from key consultancies regarding State Street product's and business units, and, leveraging exceptional interpersonal skills, foster and develop those relationships including through various sales cycles. The Global Head of Consultant Relations, Managing Director, will report directly into the Global Head of Sales.

Why this role is important to us

The Global Head of Consultant Relations will lead a team driving strategic relationships with outside consultants that act on behalf of their clients with service providers, including during sales processes. Consultant Relations actively identifies key stakeholders at various levels in the consulting organizations, proactively engages with those counterparts, educates on State Street offerings and capabilities, and obtains line of sight into trends and upcoming opportunities to communicate across the broader organization. As the largest indirect sales channel for State Street, it is key that consultants are up to speed with our services and solutions, and the impact that those products are having across the various financial services segments.

What you will be responsible for

As a Global Head of Consultant Relations, Managing Director, you will:


  • Manage a global team with the goal to develop and maintain State Street's various consultant relationships;

  • Improve and deepen State Street's various consultant relationships globally, including creating proactive direct engagement, organized events, and consultant education opportunities;

  • Learn the key consultants in the State Street's regional and segment markets and their clients, including conducting data analysis and capturing metrics to capitalize on past successes and address potential gaps;

  • Establish and cultivate positive relationships with both internal and external partners, as measured be consultant engagement and net promoter score surveys, and partner with sales and client service teams to facilitate their strategic and successful engagement with consultants and clients;

  • Maintain a deep understanding of State Street's values, services, and key offerings to play an integral role in facilitating consultants' understanding of and interaction with the Firm; and

  • Day-to-day activities may include:

    • Hosting events for consultants and executive management alike;

    • Maintaining regular communications with and training for consultants to keep them aware of the firm's various value propositions and latest developments;

    • Supervising the consultant relationships team and being the main point of contact for external consultant firms;

    • Conducting meetings and providing a high-level overview regarding State Street's core products and services to prospective consultants;

    • Overlooking key consulting relationship managers and problem solving when issues occur; and

    • Fostering team engagement initiatives to ensure global consistency'



  • Maintaining data and metrics demonstrating impact including delivery on key performance indicators.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required. Master's degree preferred.

  • 7-10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry expected.

  • 5-7 years of relationship management experience preferred.


Additional requirements
  • Travel up to 30% may be required.

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual
