Arcadis is seeking a Construction Engineer / Project Manager to join our Industrial Water and Facilities practice with rail facilities support in North America. This position is based out of Austin, TX, although location is flexible for the right candidate.

Role accountabilities:


  • Costing and Project Management, including the coordination of multidiscipline engineering/construction teams, gathering quotes, developing scope, meeting project schedules, budgets and quality objectives, and completion of assigned tasks
  • Supporting design teams with facility walkdowns, constructability reviews and other support.
  • Coordination between client operations teams and design teams to help optimize systems.
  • Construction oversight of facilities and industrial wastewater treatment plants including directing the contractor, documenting field changes, and leading meetings.
  • Ability to develop, read and implement technical specifications and design drawings
  • Having a track record of the successful delivery of environmental and rail facilities construction projects.
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and reporting activities related to stakeholder management and project communications.
  • Ensuring that all appropriate technical standards are applied during the project implementation.
  • Managing work to follow state, local, and Federal requirements.
  • Ensuring all deliverables and constructed work are in conformance with the quality standards set forth in the contract documents.
  • Maintaining project files, meetings records, and correspondence, and project controls information.
  • Monitoring subcontractor adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study
  • 15 years of applicable environmental wastewater, facilities, or fueling construction management and engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Hour Safety training
  • Railroad safety certifications

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $116,000.00 - $175,000.00.
