Summer Internship: Generative AI Product Development and Data Science

Position Overview:

This summer, embark on a rewarding internship journey with our Data Science and AI Products team. Engage in high-impact, enterprise-level projects in Generative AI. You will have the chance to develop prototypes using ChatGPT and the OpenAI API, and sophisticated dashboards using Snowflake and Tableau. As a member of the Enterprise GenAI team, you will learn about data science, data engineering, and Generative AI product development, gaining valuable experience in these cutting-edge fields.

Your role will involve enhancing data presentation, ensuring data quality, and providing support to the Data Science & AI team. Collaboration with various teams will offer you insights into effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of data science products, spanning areas from machine learning and Generative AI to programming in Python or JavaScript. Your internship will culminate in a comprehensive final presentation to the GenAI Products team.

Responsibilities:

Data Visualization and Insight Generation: Interns will create and implement visualizations to effectively display our data and reveal actionable insights. They will analyze data, report findings, and identify key metrics to introduce new perspectives on our business processes.

Innovative GenAI Solutions: Interns will formulate ChatGPT prompts for various tasks including document creation, summarization, and detailed data analysis. They will also develop Generative AI prototype applications using OpenAI API,

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and commitments:

Academic Background: Pursuing a post-graduate or undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or operations research.

Internship Duration: Able to commit to an 8-12 week internship starting Summer 2024.

Programming Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in either Python or JavaScript/Node.js to support full-stack development and meet the technical demands of our projects. Knowledge of development environments like VSCode and experience with web development frameworks like Streamlit, Gradio, flask and understanding of cloud computing services is advantageous.

Data Science and Engineering Support: Candidates should have experience in data visualization, working with multiple datasets, cleaning and improving data sets and a willingness to learn about dataset QC processes and support GenAI Solutions.

AI and ML Technologies: Candidates should understand Generative AI technologies such as foundation models, large language models (LLMs), diffusion models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vector databases, as well as AI technologies like natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and sentiment analysis.

Collaborative Teamwork: Interns must work effectively within diverse teams, including with data scientists and product managers.

Adaptability and Learning: Interns must show eagerness to learn, adapt to new challenges, and step outside of their comfort zones.

Communication: Interns must possess strong communication skills to report findings and interact with stakeholders.

Working Style: Capability to work independently, with a strong ability to think critically.

Outputs:

Strategic Contributions: Interns will design visualizations, generate insights, and develop GenAI-driven prototypes.

Project Delivery: Interns will prepare and deliver a final presentation to the GenAI Products group to showcase their contributions.
