The Accounts Payable Analyst supports the Accounting and Finance team by ensuring all invoices are received, processed, and paid accurately, timely, and consistently, following RDUAA’s finance policies and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Ensures all invoices are received, processed, and paid accurately, timely, and consistently, in accordance with RDUAA’s finance policies and guidelines.
Ensures invoices are approved before posting in Oracle using a 3-way match.
Manages Sales & Use Tax entries for capital project invoices.
Schedules and processes monthly check runs and bimonthly ACH runs; organizes invoices and runs reports to compile payment batches for review and approval.
Completes monthly E-500 use tax report and payment.
Processes 1099 income tax and W9 data maintenance.
Prepares annual sales and use tax refund claims E-585 & E-536R
Assists with monthly Escheats process.
Interface with other internal departments as well as suppliers in a professional, respectful manner.
Research and provide commentary on month-to-month variances.
Completes monthly and annual accounts payable accruals. Assists with year-end close, external audit and preparation of Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
Completes research and special projects as needed.
Performs additional related work as required.
Hiring Range:
Maximum - Commensurate with experience
Minimum $49,427.94
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
Education: Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or another related field
Experience: 3 years of accounts payable experience or related role
Preferred Experience
Experience: 5 years of accounts payable experience or related role
