Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:


JOB SUMMARY:The Center Program Manager for the Gulf Coast Collaborative Center for Maternal Health Research Education Advanced Training, Community Engagement, Health Equity and Justice program will be responsible for broad administrative leadership of the MH-REACHTSU maternal health center, focused on identifying models of care that decrease disparities in maternal health outcomes. The center program manager will operationalize the vision of the Center's stakeholders and team, including principal and co-investigators, co-Directors, and project staff. Additionally, this position will oversee daily management of the Center, ensuring that all members of the team have the resources and guidance they need to carry out the Center's mission.



DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS/DESCRIPTION:Proven track record of managing multiple projects, leading staff, and developing partnerships with key stakeholders within and outside the organization. Extensive experience in general management, strategic planning, identification, application, and execution of grants, budget management, and reporting. Experience serving as an expert source of information, with a collaborative and flexible style. Experience developing trusting long-term relationships with constituents and creating and maintaining a team culture.


This is a Grant Funded position.


Essential Duties Summary:



  • Coordinates administrative and financial activities including fundraising coordination, budgeting, space planning, human resources, operations, and communications.

  • Develops relationships with and serves as a liaison for internal and external research collaborators and community partners and external funders/or donors.

  • Develops and implements an organizational structure that supports the research goals and long-term vision of the research team and directors.

  • Contributes to writing and submitting grants, progress, and financial reports.

  • Develops systems to track Center's achievements of goals and objectives.

  • Promotes the MH REACH Center through media outlets and speaking engagements.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Works to support a healthy, positive, and inclusive work environment that engenders trust and open feedback.

Hiring Range:

Commensurate with experience.


Education:

Master's degree in management, public health, social work, health administration, or related field required.


Master's degree or higher preferred.


Required Licensing/Certification:

None required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Knowledge of:

Work Experience:

The qualified candidate must also have 3-5 years of related experience conducting research/or community programs that involve collaboration with community stakeholders and/or academic partners. Demonstrated progressive supervisory experience.
