Job Description:

The Field Maintenance Advisor provides strategic leadership and management to optimize the performance and safety of all fielded aircraft, crews, and operational processes. This role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing employee skills, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the Field Maintenance department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide effective leadership and management strategies to enhance the overall performance and efficiency of aircraft maintenance operations.


• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth among maintenance personnel.


• Monitor and assess employee skill growth and competencies through on-the-job training (OJT) and other relevant means.


• Identify and communicate training needs to the Training Department and/or Director of Maintenance to ensure continuous improvement in employee capabilities.


• Ensure maintenance and inspection program requirements are effectively met, emphasizing quality, attention to detail, safety, and workmanship.


• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, procedures, and aviation regulations (e.g., 129, 133 & 135 operations).


• Collaborate closely with the Director of Maintenance (DOM) and Quality Control (QC) operator lead to support and monitor operational activities.


• Ensure regulatory compliance of fleet aircraft and promptly address any deviations or concerns.


• Ensure crews are compliant with Ramco tasks, warehouse management, shelf life policy, and equipment/tooling accountability procedures.


• Regularly review and update aircraft maintenance and inspection programs as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


• Monitor and analyze operational processes for opportunities to improve productivity, safety, and quality standards.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required, additional education preferred.


• Minimum aircraft maintenance technical experience requirement of 15 years. 


• Commercial Tandem rotor Crew Chief required


• Proven management and leadership experience


• Must be appropriately certificated per 14 CFR part 65 A&P mechanic.


•  Has a thorough understanding CHI’s maintenance and inspection programs


•  International aviation experience preferred


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Requires discretion, independent judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.


• Ability to travel internationally to meet needs as required.


• Must be able to work field rotation schedules as needed


• Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values


• Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person
