Gauge Lab Technician at Vallourec in Houston, Texas

Job Description:

Summary of Duties

• Gauge check-in/ check-out using VAM EASY GAUGE and perform visual inspections of gauge set.
• Update VAM EASY GAUGE records.
• Provide gauge support for use: in-house, by sub-contractors and licensee rentals.
• Manages sale and shipment of inserts.
• Ship gauges per customer request.
• Issue alternate gauge methods when required.
• Prepare commercial invoices for international shipping.
• Maintain shipping and receiving documents.
• Issuing of overlays when required.
• Responsible for gauge set stock throughout company entities.
• Monitor and asses performance of yourself and surroundings to recommend improvements and corrective action.
• Must follow all company policies, practices and regulations to include Quality and Safety.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year shipping receiving type experience.
• Requires good customer service skills, internal and external.
• Ability to use Windows Office application software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to read, analyze and understand technical subjects such as technical specifications and drawings.
• Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
• Must meet the minimum physical requirements of Class with or without reasonable accommodations.
