SUMMARY



We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Business Analyst who can excel in both traditional (waterfall) and Agile software development environments. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, gathering requirements, communicating effectively, solving problems, and managing key stakeholders. Your ability to understand business processes, goals, and challenges will be essential as you contribute ideas for the continuous improvement of our portfolio of Wheels systems through various initiatives and projects.


The Business Analyst will focus on supporting our user community, primarily in the Operations area. You will be responsible for systems that cater to our internal users and support a wide range of vehicle fleet management operations. Success in this role hinges on your capacity to develop an in-depth understanding of business processes, goals, and challenges while championing continuous improvement for a portfolio of Operations systems through multiple development and enhancement projects.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Requirements Management:


Create and maintain comprehensive business requirements documentation for IT systems development, encompassing business process models, business rules, functional specifications, use cases, and project scope documents.


Facilitate requirements gathering, review, and approval for specific IT projects.


Manage and prioritize requirements across multiple releases during ongoing product improvement cycles.


Agile Support:


Collaborate with the Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Manager, and Technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support Scrum methodology.


Participate in solution design, assist in sprint planning, create user stories, design wireframes, and facilitate the creation of technical requirements and test cases.


Work closely with the Product Manager to break down large epic stories into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by the development team.


Develop or contribute to end-user documentation and training materials and assist QA in test plan development for certain systems.


Systems Enhancement:


Maintain a strong understanding of the current systems' capabilities to assess the impact of future requirements and proactively recommend improvements to both IT and stakeholders.


Support the assessment and implementation of areas for improvement within IT and the operational business areas.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent work experience.

  • 4 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment identifying system enhancement opportunities, documenting business requirements and working with technology teams to implement a solution.

  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Waterfall).

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process modeling, use case analysis, and requirement elicitation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization cross-functionally.

  • High sense of urgency in daily activities and projects.

  • Ability to facilitate effective team interactions, including reconciling and negotiating differences in opinions and approaches.

  • Proficient in multitasking and functioning in a multi-project environment.

  • Ability to anticipate outcomes, react, and course-correct accordingly.

  • Proficiency in working with customers to define business objectives for new IT project requests.

  • Strong capability to translate business needs into development team requirements.

  • Aptitude for troubleshooting problems, writing test cases, performing testing/quality assurance, and supporting user acceptance testing to ensure successful project implementations.

  • Experience with software development tools and project management software.




PHYSICAL DEMANDS



Regularly required to speak, hear, see, and to use hands and fingers for computer keyboard and phone usage. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.



WORK ENVIRONMENT



This is a hybrid role that will require being on site 2-3 days a week.
