The Massachusetts General Hospital Human Resources department invites applications for students seeking a 2024 Summer Internship for course credit to gain exposure to the daily operations of Human Resources, specifically, Talent Acquisition.
This internship is an opportunity to learn practical on-the-job skills and receive training in recruitment and many HR facets including retention, HR law, and compliance.
The Intern provides assistance with a variety of Human Resources responsibilities:
Assists with recruiting activities in a high volume, complex environment.
Performs reference checks for final candidates.
Completes phones interviews under the direction of the Recruiter
Provides administrative support and assists with special projects as assigned.
Assistance with compliance work for new hires under the direction of the Post Office Coordinators.
Provides assistance at special events when applicable.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Healthcare, Psychology, Human Resources or related field
Prior administrative experience with proficiency in the MS Office Suite
A desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
Strong initiative and problem solving skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Extremely detail oriented and self-motivated/flexible
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Requirements:
Students must be currently enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program using the internship towards credits for that program.
The internship position requires weekday availability of at least 12-16 hours per week, with flexible scheduling between the hours of 8:00AM-5PM.
The is a remote internship and requires the use of a personal computer.
