WHAT YOU'LL DO


This temporary Talent Acquisition Advisor position is responsible for partnering with business and human resource leaders to identifying top talent for our positions. The Talent Acquisition Advisor is also responsible for upholding the integrity of Ascend Learning’s candidate assessment process to include resume screening, advanced competency-based phone interviewing, presenting candidates to the hiring team, behavior-based interviewing, facilitating offer selection, initiating the onboarding process and collaborating with our onboarding specialist. The Talent Acquisition Advisor will be delivering excellent candidate experience; strategically identifying candidate needs, advising on appropriate offer presentation and closing the offer to attain top quality talent in a highly competitive market.


WHERE YOU’LL WORK


This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Leawood, KS office location.


HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME



  • Develop and manage candidate pipelines, leveraging technology and research, and utilizing social media/search engine channels to fill positions.

  • Responsible for the integrity of the talent assessment process including resume screening, advanced competency-based phone interviews, consensus meetings, and hiring decisions.

  • Become a subject matter expert in assigned functional areas including industry trends, job knowledge, organizational structure, and ongoing business strategy to support internal customer needs.

  • Maintain strong partnerships and influence with business leaders, hiring managers, compensation, talent management leadership and HR Partners.

  • Serve as candidate assessment subject matter expert and train hiring teams on the best in class recruiting process, competency selection and behavioral based interviewing.

  • Contribute to talent acquisition team success by assisting the team with all aspects of hiring leader and candidate experience as needed.

  • Track and manage candidates through an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

  • Ensure compliance requirements are met throughout the recruiting process.

  • Serve as an ambassador of the Ascend Learning brand to the candidate ensuring a positive experience and interaction with the company.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED



  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate recruiting or agency full lifecycle recruitment, recruiting candidates with a diverse range of experience

  • Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of candidate sourcing tools such as job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter plus proficiency in HRIS + ATS systems

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality relationships with candidates and hiring managers

  • Strong understanding and ability to recruit for all levels within the organization from entry level to executive

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively problem solve and critically prioritize amongst a competing set of responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment using excellent project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to influence effectively, complemented by excellent verbal and written skills for impactful communication to all levels of the business

  • Ability to work to cover multiple time zones as needed
